Adding a product to Omnistar Shopping Cart
Omnistar Shopping Cart has a simple, user friend interface that anyone who knows how to use a web browser can opperate. Adding a product is as simple as typing in some details, uploading a picture and clicking a button! And, because we know different companies need our product for different purposes, the system is also capable of selling downloadable items like software as well as physical products.

Step 1: Go to the Add Product Page
Select the Products drop-down. From here, select Add New Product. This will bring you to the new product editor page.

Step 2: Configure your product
Determine if you are selling a physical product or a download. Enter the display name of the product. If you use a SKU code, enter it as well, for easy product management. Select which category you would like to sort this product into. Enter a product description. You can browse in links to other pages within the cart software through our link browser, and you can easily upload media files into your description through the media browser.

Step 3: Setup Pricing and an Image
Enter the price you are charging for the product, including tax, and check whether it is taxable. You can also configure the cost of the item to you, so you can track profits versus net sales, and you can offer the item at a sale price. If you intend to make the page live, check the box that says allow customers to purchase this item. Now upload an image of the product and a thumbnail, or check the box and have the system automatically resize the product.

Step 4a: Enter Shipping Details
If you are selling a physical product, you should enter the weight of the item and its dimensions for the system to use when generating a price for shipping. Alternately, you can enter a fixed shipping cost for the product. You can also give the product free shipping. Select save and exit to create your product. It will now appear on the front end of your site.

Step 4b: Upload a downloadable file
If you are selling software, an ebook, or any other downloadable file, you should now select the Product Files tab. This will allow you to enter a description of your file and upload it to your server. You can also have the system locate a file already on your server. You can have the file expire after a set period of time, and you can put a limit to the number of times it can be downloaded. Click Attach File to Product and then click save and exit and your product will be created. It will now appear on the front end of your site.
