Setting up Different Product Versions in Omnistar Shopping Cart
Omnistar Shopping Cart offers the ability to offer customizable
versions for each product. A user can sell different
colors and sizes of a product like a tshirt, or
offer upgrades to a product like a computer. The
system will automatically updated pricing and weight
to match the settings configured when adding the
versions.

Step 1: Setup Product Versions
From the main section of the software, select the
Products drop down. Select the Product Versions button.
Click Add a Product Version to create your options.
Name the variation, you can use one version for multiple
products as well as just for one. Enter a label for
each choice followed by a colon and each selection,
sepperated by comas. Once you have all the versions
entered, select save and exit.

Step 2: Add Versions to a product
Select the Products drop down, and click the View
Products button. Find the product you want to add
versions to and select edit from the rightmost column.
Select the product versions tab to add versions options.
Select the option Will use a product variation I've
already created and choose a set of versions from
the list.

Step 3: Customize your versions settings
The system will now generate a row of options for
each version of the product. You can have the system
keep the same price for each version, add to the price,
or subtract from the price. When you select one of
these options from the drop down, a text field will
be generated. You can make the same changes to weight
on this page. Finally, you can add an image to each
product version. Click Save & Exit and the software
will update the product. Changes will automatically
be made live on your frontend.
